An Experienced Fresh Set Of Eyes For LaSalle

About Myself

Living in Lasalle has truly been a great experience, even if it has been for just over 6 years.  I personally believe that this town has so much potential to be even more amazing that it already is.  Having just tore down our old home to rebuilt new, I am not going anywhere anytime soon, and I’m excited to become a long time resident of LaSalle.

I believe in working for the public, and if you know me, I put 110% effort into anything I do. If you decide to trust your vote with me, I will ensure that your voice is heard and you will be kept in the loop along the way.
With LaSalle growing so fast I personally,

          • want to make sure the infrastructure is there to support the fast growth we have been seeing. Malden and Front Rd are already congested as it is, and we need to ensure we are being proactive.
          • see if anything can be done for many intersections throughout the Town, for example: Reaume / Malden rd.
          • see about the possibilities of having more options for businesses on the other side of town.  Right now if you need gas and live anywhere other than close to town hall you need to drive quite a ways. Is there a reason for this? I would like to know.
          • look deeply into the Bouffard realignment initiative as currently I don’t understand the reasoning for this, and there should be other options.
          • look into making some of the parks (if not all) accessible for all to use.  With the current design of some that are supposedly “accessible” wheelchairs have a hard time getting to the equipment.
          • Dive deep into the “Small Coast Project” and find a way to make the Town some money back on the money that has already been invested by current administration.
          • Ensure Green space is at the top of the priority list when conducting new development.  Once Green space is gone, it is gone for good.
          • Create a better working relationship between the Town and all the businesses who call LaSalle home

I think LaSalle is an amazing place to live with tons of potential. Personally, I think we just need to be careful we don’t grow too fast and need to make certain the infrastructure is there to support the growth.

As far as municipal strategy, what I’d like to see is:

          • Ensuring sustainable economic growth
          • Continue with the riverfront enhancements (ensuring financial responsibility)
          • Generational community opportunities; (ensuring we are not just thinking about our town now; but for future generations)
          • Affordable housing options
          • Ensure that French heritage is not put on the back burner
          • New corporate opportunities, growing our town more than just in our Malden Rd civic centre area
          • Work on creating public safety initiatives
          • Transit issues investigation
          • Mental health and addiction support
          • Build a plan to help seniors on a fixed budget still be able to afford to live in their homes.
          • A sustainable 5, 10 year plan

A little about me, and the experience that I have which would benefit you as the citizen having me as your councilor.

          • currently serving an Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces (in my 22nd year) training cadets (youth ages 12-18)
          • career as a senior product designer in my 24th year currently working for Integrity Tool and Mold Inc.
          • CEO and founder of Adopt-A-Vet which is a Canadian wide non-profit aimed at assisting veterans who have outlived all friends and family.
          • CEO of Wings Over Windsor which is an amazing airshow we will be bringing back to Essex county next year.
          • President and Performer for Liberty Jump Team which is an organization that performs at airshows all over North America and Europe ensuring the history lives on.
          • Awarded the Diamond Jubilee Medal, and the Sovereign Medal for volunteers by the Governor General for work I do within the civilian and military communities
          • Awarded the Veterans Affairs Commendation by the minister of Veteran Affairs, for my work devoted to the veterans of this country.

I also sit on multiple Board of Directors, and am well versed in how organizations are run.  I truly believe I would be a great option for you to have your concerns heard.

In addition to all that I am a father and have a small family so i know what it’s like juggling life.

I look forward to hearing from you and working for you.

Growth is great, but are you worried about how fast the town is growing without changes to the current infrastructure to support this growth?

The Bouffard re-alignment?

The traffic congestion on Malden Road?

Our Power Issues?

Accessibility of Parks, Among Other Things?

So Am I.
